Samantha and Holden’s golden hour maternity shoot on Belle Isle was a sunny celebration as they step into their next chapter as parents! Sam and Holden had an epic boho disco ball themed New Year’s Eve wedding at the Eastern in downtown Detroit last year. Just a few months later, they discovered they were expecting! I was so happy and excited when Sam reached out about a maternity session on Belle Isle. Getting to work with clients throughout different milestones and chapters in their lives is always so special.
We spent an hour together on Belle Isle’s beach on a sunny weekday evening. The beach was crowded thanks to a beautiful summer day but we worked around the crowds by taking advantage of a less populated slice of the beach over on the ends. It was a perfectly clear skies and sunny kind of day so the session started sunny and bright. But as we neared sunset, the light turned to a super romantic, vibrant golden hour.
